Jana Hope was born in Denver and developed as a professional artist as the Mile High boomed as an art city. Jana studied fine art illustration at Metro State University of Denver before forging a path as in illustrator and later painter. Throughout her journey Jana dedicated much of her time to teaching art and creativity practices for adults, children, and seniors of all different skill levels. Early in her career she had the privilege to work with adults with developmental disabilities, folks experiencing dementia and other atypical cognitive experiences. In recent years Jana has focused her time with children teaching unique and exciting art classes that use classic art techniques in approachable ways.
When not teaching at the Neighborhood Art Studio, Jana is a practicing full time painter showing work across the state and creating murals with the DJC Murals crew.
