Bedtime Story Art- The Sneetches Edition

art class for kids, date night, Dr. Seuss craft, Stapleton, Northeast Denver, art studio for kids

January is Black History Month and we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the accomplishments around the Civil Rights movement. We’ll bring the lesson of equality to the children through “The Sneetches” in a fun, art-forward night. Ms. Cassie will read the story that will be the inspiration for our multimedia art project. We will create ocean with shaving cream and beach with real sand, add Snitches and details like, beach balls, buckets or showers or anything the artists can think of. Using their creativity, your child will have a magical, meaningful night.

Elementary STEAM- Whatever Floats Your Boat Edition

elementary STEAM, aluminum boats, art studio, art and craft, Stapleton, Northeast Denver, kid art

Kids, prepare yourselves for some flotation fun! In this edition we’ll focus on buoyancy, flotation, and forces that affect the movement of boats. There will be opportunities to design, experiment, discuss, redesign, and have fun (because that’s what scientists and engineers do). Having designs with room to grow means opportunities to LEARN in creative, authentic ways. Ms. Chantel (a former Stapleton elementary teacher) will put forth challenges that encourages out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving.

Grab your spot and bring a friend!

Sensory Play Time for Elementary Kids

sensory activities for kids, art studio for kids, date night, Stapleton, Northeast Denver

Kids of all ages LOVE getting their hands in sensory bins! It’s therapeutic and relaxing. Sifting dry beans through fingers, squeezing and packing sand or fake snow, and the simple giddiness of watching slime take its form.

Our winter themed sensory activities celebrating Chinese New Year will be exciting, great for older children as well, and each artist will bring home a small dragon themed art project plus bag of "winter" slime.

Getting back in the swing of things after a long winter break is hard, but it can be a little less stressful with some sensory playtime.

Includes pizza and juice for dinner.

We’ll give them repurposed items to make a beautiful, blinged out “ice” castle. It’s something they’ll proudly display, you’ll recognize all the work and creativity that went into the product, and your child(ren) will have the time of their lives.
