Neighborhood Art Studio offers a variety of art classes, as well as an ongoing art club, for school-age children. These after-school enrichment opportunities allow your young artists to express themselves, build confidence in their abilities, and get those creative juices flowing, all in a fun, welcoming setting. 

We keep classes small to ensure that our students get the right amount of one-on-one attention from our dedicated teaching staff.

Monday Art Club - February session

Join our experienced teachers every Monday from 4:30PM to 5:30PM. Let your child's imaginations run wild and work with a variety of materials to explore art techniques and create! 

Our after-school art clubs are an opportunity for your budding artist to express themselves with their unique creation based on the theme of each month, in a no-pressure, hands-on environment! 

February's THEME is CLAY. Each artist will explore a variety of techniques working with air dry clay, creating pinch pot monsters, as well as polymer clay succulent plants. 

Supplies included.

Thursday Art Club - February session

Join our experienced teachers every Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7PM to allow your artist to explore a variety of techniques while studying famous artists and their work. We use different mediums and quality materials. The extended time on Thursdays allows the older artists to focus on adding more detail to their work with challenges that aren't presented to the younger groups to keep them advancing and involved.

February's THEME is CLAY SUCCULENTS IN HANGING MOSAIC POTS. Each artist will create a mosaic style pot with a choice of old CDs or broken tile, learn basics of working with polymer clay to create selection of succulent plants to display in the pot. We will finish this session with creating a macrame style hanging pot holder. 

Artists in this advanced group will focus on adding value to their painting, history of pop art and overall concept vision.

Friday Art Club - Spring Semester

Join Adriana every Friday from 1:00PM-3:30PM so your child can experience a variety of art activities to keep their brain engaged and entertained!

Each month has a theme, and every Friday there are unique and fun art projects. There are 30-40 minutes included for working on personal art projects and inventions using our recycle/reuse station and the provided materials. We focus on encouraging the development of problem solving skills and originality.

Healthy afternoon snack is provided.

Pick up at Bill Roberts at 1pm is offered at no additional charge. Only 11 spots available so grab yours right away!

Create Graphic Novel Course

If your child can't get enough of graphic novels, they will love this 6 week interactive course with focus on cartoon illustration, self-expression and technical skills development. 

Through creating their own graphic novel, kids learn techniques in cartoon illustration, perspective drawing, character design, book cover art, and storyboarding. 

Young authors got through the entire process of creating a graphic novel from idea to finished product, with guidance on fleshing out characters, developing the story, sketching, penciling, inking and coloring. 

The course will finish with each child hand-binding their own book and designing the book cover.

We will explore textiles, patterns, and colors and bring this knowledge together in creation of unique multimedia art piece on 11"x14" canvas board finished with details drawn with fine point markers.
